Dreaming. Keep doing it!! I mean it!! It’s good for you… Would you like to know more?
Dreaming. Why do we do it? Why do we have dreams and what purpose does dreaming serve in our lives? I mean it’s ok if they are fun, adventurous, sexy or full of fantasies but what does it mean when they reoccur or you wake up shaking from some nasty boogie man chasing you down a dark alley way? I use to think those dreams kinda sucked!
Dreaming: My Dreaming Confessions:
I have to let you into a secret. For the last 6 years with 3 different boyfriends, I have the been dreaming the same occasional, nightly drama. The scene would be different and the boyfriends changed over the years but the outcome was always the same… I was always in a state of anxiety, desperately trying to catch their attention whilst they were wondering off in a different direction and oblivious of my distress. I would wake up straight away shivers running through me and heart pumping while I tried to figure this conundrum out. A few days later I would get into a fight. This became very frustrating and it took me a few years to even recognize the pattern (duh) and then you would think it would get easier.. but no, even with that awareness, the nasty dream and dreaded fight would ensue… I began to feel quite pissy about these pesky nightmares and decided that maybe I was just picking emotionally unavailable men. It’s always easier to dump your shortcomings on another being… But no!!! Eventually the penny dropped. These were my dreams. My experience and they were obviously some kind of warning. The attention had to be placed in my reality and the questions began. Could I possibly be the one causing this drama? Was I the one driving my lovers away? Me? Surely not!!! And this is when I began to take my dreams seriously, dreaming became messages that I began to pay attention to…
Dreaming: Dreams are Messages
Dreams are a message from your subconscious and a higher power. They are here to show us a new way, figure out new alternatives to existing problems and process emotions/build new neurological pathways to higher ways of thinking, behaving and health within the body. Like the sound of that? Who wouldn’t? And the exploration and journey began…
